Performing as a 5 piece band since 2005, Forgotten Sol actually was founded in 2001 by lead singer Cristina Orbé and guitarist Dan Moore The motivation? Create bridges between their musical influences to carry socially relevant messages to people. In other words, booty shaking music that when you stop to think about what is being said, it makes you feel good to be a part of. In 2003, they released a self-titled EP and in 2006 released “contradiction” a full length album engineered and produced by renowned producer, Geoff Stanfield. Forgotten Sol has performed live on Seattle's KEXP, on the program “Sonarchy”. They have also performed several times on the program “Daily Planet” on KBCS in Seattle. The combination of their unique styles and raw delivery has attracted an ever growing fan base that has moved them into larger venues including the Crocodile Cafe, Chop Suey and Seattle's Town Hall. In 2007, Forgotten Sol took the stage at the Northwest's most important music festival - Bumbershoot. Backing up Forgotten Sol are some of the best players in the Northwest: Aaron Walker-loud on drums Justin Cayou on bass and Okanomode -aka SoulChilde on back-up vocals and harmonic inspiration. This dynamic ensemble creates a live show experience that is breathtaking, electrifying and unforgettable.
